The aim of the game is simple, make your way to the top of the tower to move onto the next level, whilst avoiding all manner of otherworldly beasties along the way. Sounds easy, but each level gets increasingly more challenging as you progress towards the top. It was made for the Food Trust to encourage kids to get off their fat arses and get some excercise. Cosmic Defender is a fast paced classic shoot em up kind of game, one that's guaranteed to make you abuse your keyboard or peripherial of choice until you get a grip of the play style and well beyond that. You're commanding a battleship deep into space and must destroy the enemy - aliens and their war machines, before they'll get you. The challenge is to beat the ghostrider to the finishing line, whilst collecting as many points as you can along the way. You gain points by preforming stunts, such as jumping over cars, although you lose points when you crash.
